The McGrath Cup football league started during the week with Éire Óg players Manus Doherty, Ronan Lanigan, Gavin Murray, Mark McInerney, Darren O’Brien and Einne O’Connor listed on starting team and subs.

The County Board is looking for everyone’s assistance in selling as many tickets as possible for Win a House In Ennis. The draw will go ahead on 29th January regardless of reaching the target.
Éire Óg are still in first place with total sales of 427 with Doora Barefield next at 319
Total ticket sales to date 9,500, last year 11,500.
Éire Óg has earned €9260 in revenue but last year we earned €12,000 so if you are considering buying a ticket please do so as soon as possible and ensure to purchase in the clubs name.

Irish Life/GAA Steps Challenge
Thanks to all that have signed up on the app for this years Steps Challenge. If you haven’t done so please do as soon as possible, every participants steps count will add to our total tally and get us to and beyond the target of 4000km collectively tracked. With this target reached we will be included in the draw with 3 prizes of €2500 per province.
To join, download the My Life Irish Life app, join the Munster GAA – Every Step Counts Challenge and select Éire Óg Inis as your club. Ensure your activity is being synched to the app via your fitness tracker/health app on your phone/track via app feature or manually add your exercise. The challenge starts on Mon 8th Jan and runs for 6 weeks, so get signed up now to ensure you are set up properly in time for the starting gun.
Walking Wednesdays
Our Wednesday walking group sessions return at 7pm on Wednesday 10th Jan and runs for the 6 weeks of the challenge. Please register for this on the form link below and arrive a few minutes early for the group to ensure we get started promptly.
Couch to 5K running group
There has been good interest in the Couch to 5K running initiative. This is also a 6 week programme that starts off easy and builds up to running a 5k without stopping. Dual player Rae Wall has kindly agreed to help out with warm up and warm downs. You can register for this on the form also, and indicate your preference for days. There will be 2 group running days per week and you will be given a ‘homework’ session to complete also. A WhatsApp group will be set up for this to communicate homework and give people the opportunity to organise to meet up to complete the homework runs should they desire to.
