Clare GAA This Sunday sees Clare host Kerry in the 2024 Munster Senior Football Final in Cusack Park in Ennis for the first time since in over 100 years! History in the making, a great occasion for our county town, for the team and Clare GAA supporters and a Bank Holiday to boot!

We at Éire Óg are delighted to have more than a few players involved and we wish them and the team the very best on the day: Manus Doherty, Ronan Lanigan, Gavin Murray, Ikem Ugwueru, Mark McInerney, Éinne O'Connor and Darren O'Brien. We are calling all Townies to snap up your tickets fast and come on out to show your support for the lads and the team. Best wishes also to manager, Mark Fitzgerald and to our former senior coach Seanie Buckley and the backroom team.

Munster Hurling Championship NB: we have no info yet on club tickets for the Waterford game, we will contact members by email once we get news.

Healthy Clubs upcoming events  Concussion education & awareness workshopOnline workshop for Éire Óg Inis GAA/LGFA/Camogie coaches, players, club exec & officers, referees at 8.30pm on Wednesday 15th May 2024.

Workshop Info
The GAA/LGFA and Camogie Association have joined forces with DCU to create a concussion education and awareness workshop. This is a pilot online programme and will take approx 1 hour. A mixture of coaches, club officers, players, referees can attend. Attendees will be asked to provide feedback on the content and delivery of the session. This is a good opportunity for our club members to get a first look at the new concussion education offering and to ask questions with subject matter experts present.

Academy News  Well done to our U15 footballers who kept their championship ambitions alive with a hard fought win over Clondegad on Wednesday evening in Éire Óg. It may not be the last time both teams will tussle this year in this particular competition.  Attention now turns to Féile Peil nÓg with a preliminary quarter-final against Clooney-Quin on Monday evening, 6th May in Éire Óg.  Good luck to all involved in Friday evening's U18A Football League semi-final away to Cooraclare. Hopefully a place in the final will be secured. 

Congratulations to Bernard Keating and Niall Doyle who are part of the Clare Minor Football squad who won the Daryl D'Arcy Cup on Tuesday night with a win over Tipperary in the Munster MFC Phase 1 Final. 

Also, well done to our boys on Clare's Minor Hurling panels. Darren Moroney, Rian Mulcahy, Róan McDermott and Rian Clohessy have been enjoying great success with the minor teams this year.

U9 Football Go-Games Blitz in Eire Og on Saturday 4th with Kilrush Shamrocks and St. Joseph's Miltown Malbay. 

U9 Football Invitational Blitz in Cratloe on Sunday morning at 10.30 with a visiting Kerry team. 

U11 Go-Games Hurling on Monday evening 6th (Flannans pitch) with St.Joseph's Doora-Barefield at 6.30 

No U5, U7, U9 Hurling training on Monday due to the Bank Holiday.  

Camogie  Intermediates are out on Saturday evening V Sixmilebridge in Eire Og @ 7pm Our U13s are playing Clooney on Monday evening. U15A are in a shield semi final next Wednesday. Venue & opponent TBC

Congratulations to Sadhbh Faughey and the Clare ladies minor team on winning the Munster B final v Tipp last Sunday in Mallow.

Well done also to the Flannan’s ladies on a comprehensive win in the schools Munster senior ladies final v Colaiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy in Kilmallock on Thursday. Éire Óg were well represented by Rachel Russell, Niamh McManus, Covenant Fitzgerald, Sadhbh Faughey and Saoirse O’Loughlin, congrats girls
