Our senior footballers will play Doora Barefield in a showcase game, now set for Doonbeg @ 2pm on Sun 9th February 2025
A great opportunity for not only coaches (from U13 to adult) but all interested parties (players/supporters etc) to see the new football rules in action, please see links below to resources that should be studied prior to the event on February 9th.

Clare GAA in conjunction with Bord na Nog are planning a workshop and showcase on Sunday 9th February 2025 at 2 pm in Doonbeg
This is suitable for all coaches within your club from u13 to Adult.
• There will be a briefing on the various new rules for the 2025 season.
• This will be followed by a match between Eire Og v Doora-Barefield where everyone will see the new rules in operation.
• This will be followed by a brief Q&A session.
• This match will be videoed by Clare TV and will have “live-mic” with referee explaining penalties and infractions in real time, the link to same will be provided to clubs after event.
Attached is a 4-pager that explains the rules and each person attending should bring this with them. Link: New football rules explainer
In the Powerpoint attachment is links to the full Croke Park approved guidance on new rules including videos, and it is recommended that coaches should review same. Link: Resources
Sincere thanks to Barry Keating, Paul Dillion of Bord na nOg Peil and Games Manager Micheal Duffy for organising this event, which should prove very helpful all involved in Gaelic Football in Clare. However, people are expected to have done their homework and know the rule changes before the arrive to the event so that the focus can be on scenarios etc. rather than explaining what people could have read for themselves!
