The Éire Óg club is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of our friend and club mate, Olivia Tuohy on May 25th.
Olivia played her football with the Banner Ladies, but we were lucky enough to have her play camogie with Éire Óg. A true townie in every sense of the word.
Olivia was 15 when she joined us and played u15, u16, u18, u21, junior and intermediate. She just loved playing matches and had a special fondness for our junior “ Dream Team” Olivia was no stranger to us after she made the move to Edinburgh to study nursing, she could turn up at Cusack Park or the side of any pitch to support.
We would like to extend our condolences to her mam and dad, Liz and Kieran, her brother Stephen and his partner, Laura, Olivia’s partner, Michael and his parents, Marie Elena and Stephen along with her extended family and all her many, many friends.
Rest in Peace, beautiful girl The Club are honoured to take part in a Guard of Honour at the Cathedral ahead of mass on Saturday. We will meet at 10.15 at the back of the church as the cortege will arrive from Madden’s direction. Please wear club colours if possible.
