A little flashback from the last few weeks with the club finishing the GAA leagues with no less than 4 cups. A super achievement without doubt. But it's not all about collecting cups-we strive to ensure competitive action for as many playing members as is feasible. In the adult leagues we had 7 men’s teams, and one each in camogie & ladies football. For championship, we will have 4 teams each in hurling and football, 1 in camogie and 2 in ladies’ football. We extend our huge appreciation for not only the players but also for the management teams and all involved in the background. Not least our fabulous supporters, young and old. We look forward to seeing ye on the sidelines throughout the summer. Come on the Townies

Ladies Football
Éire Óg hosted a very successful U10 blitz with over 100 girls across 8 teams taking part. Some great games took place and afterwards they enjoyed a selection of delicious baked goods, kindly provided by parents and coaches.
Our U12 girls are continuing their Peil na gCailini competition, with the red team going bravely against a very strong Doora Barefield team. The white team will take on Clarecastle on Sunday morning.
The U14 are preparing for their championship and had a good win in a tight game against Cuil Gaels in Coolmeen. A bus has been organised to travel to Mayo in Saturday for the All Ireland Minor B final of Clare versus Sligo, hopefully to see silverware coming home to the Banner County!
Finally, our Minor girls are starting their championship on Tuesday with a home game against Liscannor. Throw in at 7:45pm. Best of luck to the girls.
Best wishes to Éire Óg’s Barry Donnelly, manager of the Clare Minor Ladies in Saturday’s final v Sligo.
Academy
A good week for our minor footballers who had wins over Ennistymon on Monday evening in Div.1 and over Western Gaels in the B/C Championship. For the first time in many years we fielded a second team in minor football. Hopefully this will result in more boys continuing to play adult football when their juvenile days are finished.
Tough loss for the U13 hurlers who found Corofin-Ruan too strong in last Saturday's B Championship Final. The boys battled bravely against a side who were clearly playing in a Grade below their level.
Great win on Thursday evening for the U15 hurlers over Inagh-Kilnamona in the B Championship. The team now takes on Clarecastle in the final in two weeks time.
Next Thursday evening the U15 footballers take on Clooney-Quin in the Div.1 semi-final. Best of luck to all involved.
Camogie
Our U10s will travel to the Banner this Saturday morning for a blitz against Banner, Tulla and Clooney Quin.
Our U12s played very well against Ballyea on Wednesday evening and they will play Sixmilebridge on Saturday in an away game.
Our minor camogie girls faced a very strong Smith O’Briens team on Wednesday evening, unfortunately we did not come away with a win, they face Feakle Killlanena in the next round on August 1st in Éire Óg
