U21 Finals on the Double

Don’t pack away the oilers just yet as we continue the playing season with our U21 hurlers and footballers contesting their respective finals in the coming days.

First up is the hurling final on Sunday, a quick turnaround for the lads from their semi final win in very wet conditions in Sixmilebridge on Wednesday. A quicker turnabout to the football final which takes place on Wednesday.

Fixture details:
U21 A Hurling Final v Inagh Kilnamona at 1.30pm Sunday in Gurteen
U21 B Football Final v Cratloe at 8pm Wednesday in Gurteen

Wishing the very best to both teams and managements, lets all get behind them showing our support from the sidelines. Come on the Townies

Senior Hurling

The year is done for our Senior hurlers following defeat in the Munster final at the hands of a well oiled Ballygunner team. A tremendous year for the lads to land the Canon Hamilton and reach a Munster Final after 35 years in the wilderness! What a year it has been, to have our club teams play in Semple Stadium and Páirc Uí Chaoimh, just magical. Thanks to all involved. Up the Townies.

Clare LGFA Awards

Thank you Clare Ladies Football for recognising two of our girls achievements at their AGM during the week.
Aine McManus - Photographer of the Year
Emma Donnelly - Young Volunteer of the Year
Aine (Insta @Ainemc_photography) is a winner of the GAA Future Leader Sports Photography Award & covers all aspects of the GAA in Clare and Nationally
Emma assists the Clare County Minor All Ireland team, coaches our Eire Og All Stars, does back room for our U14 team & refs U10 Blitzes!
Both are part of the Éire Óg LGFA Panel and we are delighted with recognition of their contributions both on and off the Pitch. Well done girls and richly deserved.
