Club adult football championship kicks off this Bank Holiday weekend with our Senior, Junior A and Junior B football teams all in action. First up on Saturday our seniors begin their title defence v Cratloe at 6pm in Cusack Park, on Sunday at 12 our Junior A's take on Kilkee in Coolmeen at 12 and on Monday at 5.30pm we head to the Banner grounds where our Junior Bs take on Doora Barefield.
Wishing the very best to the respective managers Shane Daniels, David McNamara, John Mahon and their squads. As always your support is most welcome and appreciated.

Academy
Congratulations to our U13 footballers on a fantastic run to the A Championship semi-final. Despite a brave performance, they unfortunately lost out to Doora Barefield. They can be very proud of their efforts throughout the campaign. Best of luck to our U13 Academy team, who are in semi-final action this Monday. We wish the players and management every success. Our U13 hurlers have a B Shield semi final versus Wolfe Tones away on Saturday and we wish then every success.
Congratulations also to our minor hurlers on their impressive victory over Kilmaley. Our minor footballers face Clooney Quin in the A Championship on Monday morning, while our Academy team are in action on Wednesday. We wish both teams the very best of luck, and as always, your support on the sidelines is greatly appreciated. best of luck to our U7 hurlers as they play in blitzes in Caherlohan and Ballyline, the future stars!

Finally, our Éire Óg Summer Camp was a huge success this week, with a fantastic turnout of 145 children—almost double last year's attendance. A sincere thank you to Coach Tom and all of our coaches for their hard work and enthusiasm in making the week so enjoyable for all our young stars. Thanks also to Éire Óg and Clare Senior Footballer Manus Doherty for popping by and chatting with each of the groups at the camp.
Camogie
Best wishes to our Minor team who take on Whitegate in a semi this evening, Friday, 31st July, at 7:15pm on the main pitch in Éire Óg. We encourage all club members and supporters to come along and cheer the team on.

Academy age LGFA is taking a break this week due to the Éire Óg Summer Camp.
Our Minor Championship continued with a solid game versus Clooney Quin - many of our under 16 team are stepping up to minor this year.
U12 Girls are through to Finals on 9th August to be played in Caherlohan.
Finally - the Clare Player Development Program continues each week in Caherlohan - a big increase in the number of Eire Og girls attending - developing their skills and hopefully stepping up for County trials.
GAA Youth Forums
The GAA Youth Forums are developed with guidance and direction from the national GAA Youth Committee comprising of young members aged 14 to 22 and from across the Gaelic games’ family.
The GAA Youth Committee would like to extend an invitation to the young people of Clare to attend this forum to meet with the peers and aid in designing Gaelic games for the future.
As part of our celebration of the 75th anniversary of the foundation of Éire Óg next year (2027), a committee is working on the production of a commemorative book, which will comprise among other material, a history of hurling, football, camogie and LGFA in the club, articles on members who have made a significant contribution to the club over the years, items of broader interest on sporting matters locally, recent developments relating to club expansion, sporting achievement/sports personalities etc.
We are particularly interested in having our younger members involved in the project and we would love to hear from members-young men and women-who may have an interest in journalism and who may have ideas regarding items for inclusion in the book. For instance if somebody would like to write an article on one of our current sporting heroes, or would welcome the opportunity to conduct an interview with them, we would love to hear from them. This may be an opportunity for somebody who wishes to pursue a career as a print or media journalist to dip their toe in the water and produce a piece of writing which may be of benefit when developing a portfolio of work for entry into a journalism course.

Féileacáin Coffee Morning
A coffee morning will take place on Saturday August 1st from 10am to 1pm at the clubhouse. This is a fundraiser for Féileacáin (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support Ireland) and is being held ‘In Memory of Harry’. All are welcome to the coffee morning and there will be a raffle on the day as well as music by local artists.

Green Club
In line with our green club goals, a new bike shed is due to be installed near the entrance to the main pitch later next month. The bins will be moved and we will start a campaign to encourage more effective use of bins in terms of recycling. The astro lights will also be replaced with more energy efficient ones. These initiatives will be funded by the Clare County Council Climate Action Grant.
