Congrats to our senior hurlers who got through the test of Wolfe Tones to earn their place in the semi finals. We were drawn against Inagh Kilnamona and that game is scheduled for Sunday, 27 September at 3.30pm in Cusack Park.

 

Our Intermediate hurlers face into a relegation battle v Doora Barefield on Saturday, 26th at 12 in Ballyea.

 

Our Junior C hurlers got over the line v Clarecastle when a last ditch free dropped under the bar to give them a one point win. They are in second place on the table with Corofin coming up in the last round, also on the 27th, at 11.30 in Clareabbey. Our table topping Junior Bs are out the same day v Ruan, at 1pm in Kilmaley.

 

Our Junior C camogie team have completed their rounds with 2 wins and 2 losses and have a bye this weekend. They are awaiting the results of the final round to see if they make the shield competition.

 

The adult action this weekend starts on Saturday, with Junior C football v Banner at 12 in Ballyline. Our Intermediate camogie team are already safely through to the semis with 2 wins from 2 and will host Crusheen in round 3 at 5pm in Éire Óg.

 

We have quarter-finals on the double on Sunday, our Junior B footballers travel to Corofin at 12 to take on Miltown and then it’s the turn of our Senior footballers who meet with their opposition from last year’s final, Doora Barefield at 4.30pm in Cusack Park.

Well done to our All-Star children and coaches who had a very enjoyable outing at half time of the senior hurling last weekend. They were all very well received by the crowd in attendance.

Gym Sessions

That’s a wrap for our 2026 Eire Og Ger O’Meara Memorial Golf Classic. Another very successful and enjoyable event. In spite of the strong competition from other less important golf/sporting events on locally (not just the Irish Open!), we had a great turn out on Friday and Saturday at Ennis G.C. Hope everyone enjoyed the golf and banter and compliments must go to Ennis G.C. who many commented have the course in the best condition they have ever seen. Many thanks to all who participated, sponsored teams, tee boxes, prizes, or helped out on the days. Your generosity is very much appreciated by all at Eire Og, Inis. We hope all who played and followed on social media channels will endeavour to support your businesses where possible.  Thanks again!

The girls produced some fantastic displays of catching, kicking and scoring. The standout feature was their teamwork and willingness to play for each other. The support, encouragement and great team spirit shown by all the girls made us extremely proud. A big thank you to all the parents there to support the girls in numbers.

Academy

 

Congratulations to our Minor footballers, who had a fantastic win over St. Breckans this week. The lads played some intelligent, entertaining football and produced a brilliant team performance to secure a well-deserved victory. The result sees them progress to a semi-final, which is a great achievement and a fitting reward for all their hard work and commitment throughout the campaign.

 

The Minors have one final group game remaining as they take on group leaders Kildysart/Coolmeen this Saturday at 10am in Coolmeen. This promises to be another competitive encounter, and all support would be greatly appreciated. Well done to the players and management on their efforts so far, and we wish them the very best of luck on Saturday.

 

Our U14 Academy hurlers also had a great win over Clonlara during the week. Well done to all the lads on a fantastic team performance, with everyone playing their part in securing an impressive result. The U14 first team are back in action on Sunday morning as they take on Clarecastle. We wish the boys and management the very best of luck and encourage everyone to get out and support them.

 

Best of luck also to our U6s, who will be taking part in a blitz against Clarecastle on Monday. This is a great opportunity for our youngest players to showcase the skills they have been developing at training, enjoy some hurling and have plenty of fun along the way. We hope they all have a brilliant evening!

 

Our U10 hurlers have a busy Sunday ahead as they tog out on Sunday morning. Later that afternoon, our U10 boys and girls will have the fantastic opportunity to play Gaelic football at half-time during the Éire Óg senior match. This is sure to be a memorable experience for the children, and we encourage everyone attending to give them a huge cheer and show their support. It's a wonderful opportunity for our young players to take to the pitch and enjoy their moment in front of the crowd.

 

Academy Training Update:

Academy training continues Monday and Friday evenings. Please note that, from Monday 21st September, training times will change to 6pm–7pm as the evenings begin to get shorter.

Our final night of Academy training for this season will be Friday 16th October. We hope to see everyone making the most of the remaining few weeks of training.

As always, a big thank you to all our families, coaches, supporters and everyone who gives their time to help our Academy teams. Your continued support makes a huge difference to our young players, and we encourage everyone to get out and support the teams whenever possible.

 

We would also like to remind everyone of the importance of supporting our teams in a positive and sporting manner. Please continue to encourage all players while showing respect to opposition teams, coaches and match officials at all times. Let's make sure our young players enjoy their games in a positive and respectful environment.

U16s:

Our U16 girls played their second round of the championship on Wednesday evening, welcoming Scariff-Ogonnelloe to Éire Óg. Despite the effort from the girls throughout the game, they were defeated on a scoreline of 6-01 to 1-05.

The girls’ next fixture is away to Cratloe on Saturday, 26th September, details TBC. Keep an eye on socials or Clare Camogie website. 

 

U12s

Our U12 girls are up and out early tomorrow morning as they welcome St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield to the Harty Pitch for a morning of camogie!

Two games running side by side, the action gets underway at 10am.

A great opportunity for the girls to put their skills into practice, enjoy their camogie and, most importantly, have fun with their teammates and friends.

 

U10s:

Our U10 girls are looking forward to welcoming Salthill-Knocknacarra from Galway and The Banner to Éire Óg tomorrow, Saturday 19th September, for a morning of fun and camogie.

The girls will enjoy plenty of games, skills, smiles and, most importantly, fun and friendship on the pitch. 

After the blitz, all the girls will head into the clubhouse for refreshments and a chance to have a chat and giggles. 

A big welcome to both visiting clubs, we hope everyone has a fantastic morning! 

 

U8s

Our U8 girls are continuing to train hard and have fun as they prepare for their final blitz of the season in mid October. 

U6s

Our U6 girls have just two training sessions remaining before they finish up for the season.

It has been fantastic to see this group learn the basic skills, grow in confidence and, most importantly, have plenty of fun and friendship along the way. 

As the season comes to an end, our older U6 girls will look forward to moving up to U8, while we look forward to welcoming back all our little stars for another year of camogie ⭐

Mural

 

During the summer you will have seen a mural appear at the back of the stand. The mural was completed by artist Harry Guinnane and commissioned by Cllr. Pat Daly who procured funding from the Clare County Council. The club wishes to express its gratitude to Harry and Pat for enhancing the club grounds with this fabulous piece of work.
