Dear Players,

You are invited to participate in a PhD research project which aims to examine a range of factors related the experiences of male and female Gaelic footballers, Hurlers and Camogie players, including motivation, training environment, athlete burnout, stress, and commitment, and how these factors might interact with each other and change over time. This research is being conducted by DCU PhD student Siobhán Woods.

Participation in the study involves the completion of a questionnaire at 6 different time points over two seasons, with approximately 3 months between each time point. The questionnaire should take about 20 minutes to complete. This research is being conducted with the hope of gaining a deeper insight into the experience of male and female GAA players today.

Below is a link to a Plain Language Statement which will provide additional information about the study. The link will also lead you to the questionnaire, should you wish to participate. Your time and insight would be greatly appreciated! In addition, if you would like to forward this link to members of any other Camogie, Hurling, Gaelic Football or Ladies Football teams that you are involved in, please feel free to do so! Thank you in advance.
