As you are probably aware the opening rounds of the GAA club championships are to be held essentially 'behind closed doors'. This relates to our upcoming senior, intermediate, junior, minor and U14 hurling and football fixtures. For these games, the County Board will provide 55 tickets to participating clubs to allow entry for players, mentors, physio etc. As a result, supporters without passes are unable to attend and should not turn up to venues on the day. This will be of huge disappointment to all who relished the return of club activity and competitions. However, with he extraordinary circumstances we are currently in, we will have to make the best of the situation.
Club Championships
Firstly, well done to Martin O'Donnell, John Russell, Ger Cahill and our Intermediate Camogie team who beat Clarecastle Ballyea last Sunday, 1.13 to 1.09. We hosted the game in line with Camogie Covid-19 restrictions and are glad to report that all went very well.
Yesterday evening, Ken Hickey and Barry Farrell with our U14 footballers took to Lissycasey where they were bested on the day.
