St. Patrick 's Day message from club Chair, Jimmy Cooney:
Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig to all our members and their families, thinking especially of those who are away from home and loved ones on this special day for all Irish people.  This is our second St. Patrick's Day without the usual festivities associated with the day, the parades, the sport, the concerts. It has been tough, very tough and we're not out of it yet, but hopefully we'll see much better days before too long.

I wish I had some good news regarding a return to training.  I feel especially sorry for our younger members, bursting with energy and so frustrated at not being allowed out to kick a ball with their friends.  We can only hope for an announcement of some relaxation in the regulations from early April, provided infection cases come down a bit more.  In the meantime, let's keep on keeping on, look out for each other, stick to the rules as best we can and enjoy the good weather promised for the next few days.

On a positive note, the club has lodged a planning application for 2 new dressing rooms and a full-sized gym, which will be a major enhancement to our facilities, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.  More about that later. In the meantime, why not have a go at our Sports Prediction Quiz on-line at https://eireoginis.ie/products

Finally, check out a lovely interview between our own Des Neylon and Michael O' Connor, reliving the memories of growing up hurling in Ennis in bygone days. It's on YouTube, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML5tETf0AL8

Finally finally, here's a seanfhocal for today: Beatha teanga í a labhairt.  (Speaking a language keeps it alive)
Slán go fóill, Jimmy
