2022 Ger O’Meara Golf Classic

A reminder that our Golf Classic takes place on Saturday 3rd September at the Ennis Golf Club. The timesheet is filling nicely but there are still a few slots remaining. Church Gate 2022

Many thanks to all that supported and helped out with last weekend’s Church Gate collection, there was a great representation from across the club and we are happy to report €1909 was raised.

Camogie

Our U12s travel to Clooney on Saturday for a fun day, intermediates and juniors continue their championship action as per fixtures above.

Academy

This weekend sees the start of the Autumn schedules of Go-Games. Academy age groups have been reorganised to even years, ie U8, U10 & U12.

U14 Hurling and Football Championships beginning in September.

Our minor hurlers got a hard-earned draw in the "A" Championship on Wednesday evening v Inagh-Kilnamona. Result means the final two rounds of the competition v Clonlara next Wednesday and Kilmaley are must wins to be in the mix for a semi-final place.

Our minor footballers received a walkover from Cratloe this week meaning we have until 7th Sept for the visit of Clarecastle in the next round of the competition.

The U15 footballers were in Tuam last Saturday taking part in an invitational competition hosted by Tuam Stars GAA. An enjoyable day trip for everyone involved.

Well done to the U13 hurlers who secured the Academy B Shield title in Kilmaley last week. It was nice to see the kids pick up some silverware.

The Academy wish to acknowledge the time, commitment and effort that coaches of all age groups put in to keep the show on the road.

Ladies football

A double header in Éire Óg this Sunday for the ladies, with the intermediates opening proceedings at 2pm v Miltown while the juniors host Kilrush at 4.30pm.

Club Lotto

26/08/2022 numbers drawn: 23, 25, 27, 32. There was no jackpot or match 3 winners. 4 x lucky dips went to Rosie Fitzgerald, Michael Barry Jnr, Mary Shannon & Mary McInerney who win €25 each. Larry Hally won the promoters prize of €25.

Scolaireachtai Gaeltachta 2022

Clare GAA message for members who may have been at Irish college over summer:

Could all students who attended Gaeltacht colleges in 2022 complete the application form in order to avail of the part-scholarship sponsored by Clare CLG in conjunction with Munster Council. Either student or parent are required to be club members.

Application forms may be downloaded from Clare County Board GAA website and forwarded by Sept 16th to Oifeagach Gaeilge agus Culturtha Flann O'Raghallaigh, Croch na Croiche, Creatlach, Co an Chlair.
