Comhghairdeas le Deirdre Murphy

Congratulations to Clooney’s Deirdre Murphy who has been appointed Head of Operations with Clare GAA. She is steeped in Gaelic games having represented Clooney Quin and Clare on the camogie field.

We wish Deirdre the very best in her new role and look forward to continued developments in Clare GAA.

Academy

Another busy week at the Academy.

Our Minor A Hurlers have to meet Kilmaley again on Monday evening after Wednesday's match had to be abandoned near the end. A win on Monday secures a semi-final tie with Clooney-Quin on Saturday 24th September.

Best of luck to this group who take on Wolfe Tones this evening in Shannon. Hopefully we can progress to quarter-finals with another win under their belt.

Our U14 hurlers welcome Doora-Barefield to Eire Og on Saturday morning in a knockout tie in the "A" Championship.

U10 Football Go-Games v Doora-Barefield in Gurteen on Friday evening. With numbers at the age so strong we also have an U10 team playing in Eire Og during Academy Training on Friday.

Our U8s host Lissycasey on Monday evening in their Go-Games schedule.

It’s great that the weather is being so kind so far for all groups.
