Commiserations to our senior hurlers and management team after last weekend’s agonising 1 point loss to Ballyea in the county final. Thanks to the lads for the massive effort put in all year, and thanks to our loyal supporters who turned out in number and flair. Onwards and upwards.

Next weekend sees our U21 footballers kick off their championship campaign v Ennistymon in Éire Óg.

Éire Óg All-Stars @ Senior Football Final
We are delighted to announce that our All-Stars, along with Corofin All-Stars, have been selected to showcase their skills in Cusack Park on Sunday. They will be on the pitch at 1.15 and we would love as much support as possible for our fantastic children. Our aim on the day is to highlight the great work being done in both clubs in regards to inclusivity and to encourage other clubs in Clare to run similar programmes. We are all very excited for the day..!

Club shop
We have a number of medium flags, including a small few crested ones, and some bunting remaining. The shop will operate from 6 to 7 this evening (Friday 28th) for any last minute needs.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the manufacture of the crested hats so our order won’t be in on time for this weekend’s games.

PWC All Stars
The very best of luck to Shane O’Donnell in tonight’s All Star awards for 2022. Shane was nominated after several man of the match displays with Clare this year. Other nominees from Clare are: David McInerney, Tony Kelly, Paul Flanagan, Diarmuid Ryan, David Fitzgerald, John Conlon and Ryan Taylor. Best of luck to all.

Club gear on O’Neills
Please note O’Neill’s are offering free delivery on orders made this weekend. Link to Éire Óg on O’Neill’s: https://www.oneills.com/shop-by-team/gaa/ireland/eire-og-inis.html

Camogie
Hard luck also to our U16 camogie team who also lost out after a last minute goal by Ruan in the last play of the game on Saturday. Our U11s play Ruan tomorrow, Saturday, in Éire Óg.

There was ice cream a plenty to mark the end of training last week for our U10, 8 and 6s:

Academy
Our U17 footballers are back in the Co. Final again this year where they take on Clarecastle. Game throws in at 12 noon in Gurteen on Saturday 29th. All support is very welcome.

U12 football challenge games with Wolfe Tones on Sunday at 11am in Eire Og.

U10 hurling blitz on Saturday morning at 10.15 in Corofin.

U16 hurling training has commenced in advance of our tie at home versus Clarecastle next weekend.

Best of luck to all our 2009 boys involved in this weekends trials for the County U14 Football Development Squad.

Regular Academy training is finished following this evening's hurling session. Enjoy the break and encourage the children to keep practicing and enjoying a puc around/kick about themselves over the coming months.

As ever a huge thank you is owed to all our coaches who helped during the season.

Ladies football
Hard luck to our minor ladies that lost out to Doora Barefield last weekend despite a fantastic second half effort.

Our Gaelic for Mothers n Others group take a well earned break for a couple of weeks. Restart date to be confirmed.
