Congratulations again to our senior footballers who have made history on winning three senior championship finals in a row, and five in the last six years. A tremendous achievement for the team and management.
In terms of winning championships, it’s been a fantastic few years for the club and supporters. These glory days are to be relished, but of course not all success is measured in wins, we have so many players and teams that tog out year in and year out, building bonds, honing skills and having fun!
We are blessed to have the backing of the teams families, club members and an enduring crowd of supporters on and off the field. We wish to acknowledge the financial support that is crucial to the ongoing development of our teams.
Our main club sponsors, the Lyne Family have been backing the club for decades now and the impact of their generosity reverberates through every sector of the club with the provision of Coach Cian previously and now Coach Tom providing an invaluable service to our young players. New jerseys across the adult mens and womens teams this year and gear for the senior football final. Not to mention a fine feed for the seniors following Sunday’s win in the park. The list could go on.
Liam & Fiona O’Doherty/Gildoc Building Contractors and Eoin Doohan DFP Financial, Dundalk continually support the clubs efforts in the background.
Our Platinum, Gold and Silver Patrons back us financially year in and year out, providing the best environment to support our players in performing at the highest level and be the best they can be.
Above you will see a list of our Club Patrons and we encourage you strongly to consider their businesses for your day to day needs.
A special mention of thanks to those that supported our Senior Football Final journey this year:
Lyne Family-Cruises and Forty One Bar & Restaurant, Francis Daniels-Aylmer’s Rest, Tina D’auria-Bambinos, Ciaran’s Bar, Colm & Tara-Clare Hire, Liam Miniter-Coyle Miniter Accountants, Enzo’s Parnell Street, Paul Keating-Keating Fruit & Veg., Rory Hickey Electrical, Tony Honan Antiques, Niall O’Connor-Red Army Travel, Michael Clancy-Sherwood Inn, Malones-TALE Security. Assumpta Hehir, Enda Howard, John Hickey, Josie Nevin, Mary McMahon, Paul Madden, Shane Daly.
Thanks to club member and budding photographer, Tony Summerly for joining the Senior Footballers for County Final day and capturing treasured memories for our players, management and supporters. Thanks too to Rachel Lyons Media who sent on a link to her final photos for free use.
Kudos to Clare GAA for their work on promoting the championship, including the hosting of the Up for the Final event in Clareabbey. We were delighted to have Peter Cosgrove and John Griffin oblige us in representing the club so well on the night and it was good to see a good Éire Óg support for them in the audience.
Thanks to all that placed adverts in the local newpapers and online on social media. To Cruises, Gildoc, Tony Honan Antiques, Molly & Linnane and Temple Gate Hotel who placed ads in the County Final programme.
Finally, thanks to our Club Executive who work away in the background to keep the club afloat and running smoothly.
Closing this piece with a bit of history, photos of the 2026 and 1911 Three in a Row Champions. Let’s hang it in the Louvre!
Éire Óg Inis Three in Row Senior Football County Champions: Ennis Dalcassians - The last Ennis team to win three-in-a-row - 1909-1910-1911.
In the 1930s The Clare Champion said: “The photograph of the Dals three-in-a-row team of 1909, ‘10 and ‘11 still adorns many an Ennis home and the G.A.A. veteran, ‘Pako’ Malone, has often to relax his anvil labours to tell of many thrilling duels”.

U21 C football QF v Coolmeen

(Manager: Jason Carmody)
An update from Jason Carmody, Junior C football manager which highlights the importance of the club having that fourth team in terms of game time and development for our players, how it assists with prep for U21 and getting your place on other teams not to mention keeping the elders among us tuned up! – Thanks to Jason for sending on following a convo on the same.
Junior C Football this year. 31 different players getting Championship game time, 5 of which ended up playing Junior B also. 19 players are under 21 and 8 of those just came out of minor and playing in their first adult year. Only 5 players are over 30 with the other 7 players between the ages of 21 and 28.
With all those that played there was experienced players who made themselves available but wanted to see the younger lads get game time.
2 wins and 2 losses with a new bunch and acquitted themselves extremely well in the 2 losses. 5 points and 4 points respectively. Chances made but lessons to be learned from the misses.
The Junior C team has meant that we are also able to field 2 under 21 teams this year with the retention of those who played adult this year.

Clonroad Brew
Hope everyone is enjoying their bank holiday weekend. This Saturday (31st Oct from 9.30am to 1.30pm will be the last day we're open before we close for the winter.
It's been an incredible 10 months since we first opened the doors of Clonroad Brew and can't thank everyone enough for their support from Day One.
We've really enjoyed serving you coffee and treats during the Academy nights and weekends, blitzes, underage and adult matches, post gym session debriefs and the general chit chats.
It really has grown into a community vibe in the club and we look forward to keeping it going in 2027.
We will see you all on Stephen's Day for the annua tournament where all drinks and treats will be €2 to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. 🎉
