Get your walking boots on for the Rocky Ramble, which takes place on Saturday next, from 12.00 noon, beginning at the Éire Óg clubhouse.
This year Éire Óg is delighted to share the proceeds with Clare ASI-the Alzheimer's Society-towards their marvelous facility at Cahercalla. Most families are touched by dementia of some kind at some stage, so we feel it important that as part of our obligation towards our local community we make a strenuous effort to support families caring for those less fortunate.
This is the 3rd year of the Rocky Ramble, which has been great fun in previous years, with a family feel and a great mix of participants, from the reluctant strollers to the gung-ho lean machines. So, you can push the buggy as far as Icarus on the bypass and back to the club, stretch your limbs with a 5k brisk walk or take the ultimate 10k trip-it's up to yourself.

There's also a pigeon race, for which you can buy a bird.
