U21B hurling quarter final v Tulla

All roads lead to Tulla this Saturday where our U21 hurlers take on Tulla in a quarter-final. The game throws in at 1pm, all support is most welcome. Best of luck lads.

Senior Football
Hearts were broken last week in Tralee as our senior footballers exited the Munster club campaign at the semi-final stage following a one point loss to Kerins O’Rahilly’s. A very entertaining game that went down to the wire but we just came up short by the narrowest of margins. On behalf of the Club Executive and members we wish to express our thanks to the team and management for the huge efforts they gave all year, we stand proud and will dust down and regroup for 2023.

There was great Town and County representation in Austin Stack Park, thanks to all that made the trip down.

Photos: In response to requests from supporters, Mike Brennan has organised an initiative with Ennis Photoshop on Parnell St whereby you can get photos from the senior football county final printed and if desired, framed. Please see full info at the following link: https://eireoginis.ie/articles/81781

Well done to our U12 boys were hosted by Kerins O’Rahilly’s for a challenge game on Sunday morning at Strand Road. A great day out was had by all the kids, many thanks to KOR for hosting and supplying refreshments after the game.

Tesco tokens for Éire Óg All-Stars
Calling all Tesco shoppers, our All-Stars are one of the chosen charities for the current Tesco Community Fund Clubs. Please support by putting the blue tokens to the middle section of the unit which is located at the rear of the tills. Blue tokens are available at the checkouts, ask your cashier if unsure. We are in week 1 of a 12 week stint so be sure to continue dropping the tokens in support.

Hope to see everyone there for what will be an enjoyable evening

Volunteers Night
If you are one of the many members who helped make Éire Óg the special place it is during the past year, if you coached or managed a team, if you took on any role in running the club, if you served on a club sub-committee, if you collected for the lotto or helped in other fundraising efforts, in short if you put your hand up to help out in any way, I as chairman would love the opportunity to say a very sincere "Thank You" at a get-together in the clubhouse this Saturday night.

We'll have some refreshments and some nibbles and a chance to chat about the year past and dream about the one to come.

So, don't be shy, come on up, I'd love to meet you, shake your hand and thank you for playing your part in driving Éire Óg on during the year, opening up new horizons, making us a community as much as a sports club. We'll kick off around 9 pm.

Beidh fáilte romhat.

Jimmy
