Eire Og Inis 1-14 Parteen 2-4

The Eire Og juniors brushed aside the challenge of Parteen from South Clare in a cloudy Shannon today after an early scare conceding 2 goals but the young Townie team didn't panic and got their passing game going to pile on the points from Jack Joyce, Mikey Moloney, Brian Shannon and Niall O’Donoghue to go in 2-1 to 0-9 ahead at halftime.

Eire Og introduced a number of fresh legs at halftime to take the game to the south Clare men. A goal from a goalmouth scramble put the nail in the Parteen coffin who added 3 points in the 2nd half to run out 1-14 to 2-4 winners.

The Townies were best served by Eoin Guilfoyle, Mikey Moloney who lorded it at midfield, Jack Joyce and the ageless Brian Shannon. Up next is the old foe, Kilmurry-Ibrickane, in 2 week’s time to decide who will top the group.
