After our Eire Og Junior A hurlers beat near neighbors, Clarecastle, in a close tense championship semi-final last Saturday out in sunny Corofin, they reached their mecca, the championship final which all players and teams dream about at the beginning of the year while dusting the cobwebs off the caman. The Clare Junior A championship final is scheduled for next Saturday, 8th October out in Tulla, time to be confirmed. They will be playing their other near neighbors, St. Joseph’s Doora-Barefield in the final.
As a build-up to the final next Saturday, we will be bringing a daily update on the team with a particular focus on the players (both young and old) and management who have toiled diligently to get the team to the peak next Saturday. We will start tomorrow, Saturday, October 1st, with a profile of the man who has led our Junior As to the promised land – Keith Molloy.
So, get out your red flags, hats, shirts whatever and get ready to head to Tulla next Saturday, Oct 8th to cheer the lads on!
